STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT

As someone who spent about a decade selling almost exclusively new printing and bindery equipment, I always equated the relationship with prospects as a lengthy engagement. In the used equipment niche it’s more like eloping. I cannot say how many times I have seen a client take that extra couple of days to think over a purchase only to find that when they are finally ready to pull the trigger the machine has been sold.

It seems that when a press is available you really need to strike while the iron is hot. At Kirby West we almost always have a way to lock a press up for you for a few days while you iron out the details and make sure that you really have the correct amount of floor space, electrical service, can get the financing you want, etc. Whatever small deposit we ask for is refundable if you need to order the machine pending the type of contingencies listed above. If we can’t make the deal work we’ll go back to the drawing board and find another way to satisfy your requirements. It’s not in any of our interests to try to put a square peg in a round hole.

At Kirby West one of our strengths is that we can find you the piece of equipment you want quickly – and take it off the market. Give us a small deposit and we’ll write a contingency order pending the details that can’t be adressed at that instant (you may need a few days to get an electrician into your location to double check that there are enough Amps for the new press). If things don’t go your way, we refund the deposit and put the press back on the market. We are always willing to work together to make sure your needs are met and we are going to have a trouble free installation. Tell us what your concerns are – there isn’t a lot we haven’t seen before. Let’s go for the machine you want while it’s good for the gettin’….do overs are allowed and we’ll always be able to find you a different machine to fit suit your needs.
