At KirbyWest we believe that if we help printers get what they want, then we, in turn, will get what we want. To that end, we are committed to the profitability and success of our customers. We know what it takes to help good printers become GREAT printers. We will share our knowledge and our talents to help our customers achieve their goals thereby achieving ours at the same time.
While KirbyWest began business in 2009, our Ryobi roots go back to 1985. 
In October of 1991 Prism Lithographic Technologies was born as Tim and two partners began the business and the Ryobi line selling prepress, press, and bindery equipment throughout Southern California.
In 1992, Tim recruited Dave Nantz, whom he had worked with at AM Multigraphics in Chicago in the early 1980’s to come to San Diego and join the Prism team. In 1993, Prism was named “America’s Number One Ryobi Dealer” with sales surpassing all of the 50 other Ryobi independent dealerships and branches.
Prism remained America’s Number One Ryobi Dealership with sales surpassing all others in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 (single location) and 1999.
In late 2009, Tim and Dave, once again joined forces to offer sales, service, and support of Ryobi printing presses, competitive press lines, prepress, post press, and digital equipment throughout the US with the opening of KirbyWest Printing Equipment.
In May of 2010, KirbyWest was awarded several new lines of equipment for our customer base. We are proud to represent Sakurai, Colter and Peterson’s Saber and Prism Cutters, Baumfolder, Tec Lighting, Accel Graphics, and other manufacturers to the customer base we serve.
We are proud to have served customers in California, Texas, Arizona and other states across the American West. From our new headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, we wish you the very best! Thank you for your support over these past many years!
